Rainbow

I remember the day very well,
It was the 15th of February 2008.
I was traveling to a new land,
To a strange new place.
I was on a voyage to Brisbane,
For the first time ever.
It was cloudy above,
It was deep sea below,
All misty, all green, full of ripples
As if heaven was just some feet beneath.
There amidst the clouds,
Danced one gigantic scoop of a cloud fully saturated,
And as if a needle like wind struck it mischievously
And it burst to release drops of rain.
The glory of nature was to behold,
Showers of blessings on me.
And there reached a ray of sun from above
To create a marvel with VIBGYOR
I felt as though I was on a date with a rainbow,
So close yet so far,
So magnificent yet so elegant,
I shall never forget the day,
I shall never forget the moment,
That blessed me before I landed,
On the sands on a new strange land,
